good things...

....that happened yesterday.

1. aidric did not choke to death on a cough drop. between ryan and i we were able to get him to swallow it. scary 6 seconds though.
2. watched Pretty Woman for the first time. I thought it was cute.
3. got a bunch of stuff we are no longer using posted on craigslist and already got a ton of responses.
4. made a plan and figure that i can buy my awesome stroller in a month or so!
5. came up with a great idea for ryan's christmas gift.
6. stretched.
7. sat with my sons and made them giggle
8. three words: clean.cloth.diapers

ergo baby carriers...could it be my new love?

i just found my new favorite baby carrier...i think lol everything about it seems like it would be perfect for us. and im pretty sure that this is the same carrier ry and i saw on a dad a few weeks ago that we loved.

the madness has to end...

yeah. that is my bedroom. usually i would be to embarrassed to show it to you. but i dont care at the moment. how is one supposed to catch up on that, with 2 littles in tow?



not to mention the rearranging that is going on because we have decided to give Liam his own room instead of sticking him in with Aidric. why? you may ask. because my sweet Liam is a fantastic sleeper during the day (and by that i mean he sleeps for a while after im up with aidric, and then like a champ in the swing). but come 7 pm, the battle begins.

he will take a short nap and awake around 9......and then he is just awake. and he can not be pleased. doesnt wanna sit. dont you dare lay him down, but he isnt really hungry either, nor does he need to be changed. and he isnt gassy- we've made sure. he just fusses and fusses and fusses for almost 2 hours. grr,

so we are happily counting down the day till sleep training, and making space for him to have a room in the mean time.

oh, and my goal to loose this ridiculous baby weight? let's not even get started seeing as how today has driven me to bake brownies, which i am devouring as i type. =P

much has happened, and much will probably be forgotten as I try to update this blog thingy. but i am working on it. so please excuse my digital dust as I am rearranging things and re- vamp this creaky old blog. pics of the new babe to come soon!

I'm an addict...

i am addicted to cloth diapers, i think. i constantly sell the ones i dont like so that i can try out new one. i go back and forth between wanting to buy the nice handmade ones, and buying the fabric and just sewing my own. now i am on a prefold kick. you know- the old school ones that our grandmas used on our parents? except they make them out of super squishy and soft bamboo these days- or super duper absorbent organic cotton- i cant make up my mind!

as if my money doesnt have 32 other places to be used. no really- i made a list. i have at least 32 other things i need money for. lol why am i so crazy? =P

right?!! some of the stuff is pretty janky looking, but some of those look great! and since we are in the throws of nesting/re-doing everything in the house, it was a perfect find.

aaaaanddd....since i havent been on it months, ill try to give a little update. let's see...

1. we are having another boy! so fun! we are excited because a. aidric will have a little brother- something ryan and i never had, and b. we already had all the clothes and boyish things, so there hasnt been much we have had to buy over again (happy and sad at the same time lol).this pregnancy has been so different than before- i mean i still feel great, and dont really have any typical pregnant symptoms, just like with aidric- but half the time i forget that im pregnant! i am so busy with aidric and the day to day, i space it until i lay down and feel the baby kick, or realize that i can bend over to tie my shoes or pick aidric up. weird. but since we are only 12 weeks away, i have started to be a little more conscientious.

2.aidric is growing like a weed, and is so smart! he knows his shapes, can recognize 4 letter of the alphabet, is working on colors, and talks non stop! he still uses mostly one or two word phrases to tell us things, but i almost always know exactly what he is talking about. he learns a new word everyday it seems. he constantly brings books to ryan and i and asks us to read to him. he LOVES puzzles and carrying random things around in a bucket. and of course- he loves to take caps on and off of bottles and opening/closing doors is still good entertainment. what a miracle it is to watch him literally learn and grow right before my eyes. i can not believe he is almost 20 months now. we are also finally working on weaning. he doesnt nurse much anymore, but we want to be weaned before the baby gets here.



3. thanks to sara, we found a site called knock off wood (http://www.knock-offwood.com/) and have decided to build our own bookshelves, nightstands, dresser and bed! we are just awaiting the arrival of some borrowed tools, and then we will be in business! i can not tell you how excited i was to find this site! now i can finally have the furniture i want, stained the color i want for waaaaaay cheaper than you could ever buy it- even at overstock! love that!

4. the baby measures a week big, and has for about 2 months now. i was due august 1st, then july 28, now im told july 24th. aidric was 11 days early tho, so i am planning on meeting the little guy anywhere from july 10th on.

5. everyone else i know is pregnant with a girl... kinda weird, but it has given me a great excuse to make some very girly things for presents lately. see below.

but of course i had to make some cute boy things too...





6. i have very recently decided to try my hand at a business of sorts. the company is called Melaleuca. They make pretty much everything you use on a daily basis (laundry soap, fabric softner,kitchen cleaners, counter top, disinfectant, vitamins, toothpaste,shampoo, etc). Their products are concentrated, so you use less product and create less waste, AND they are CHEAPER than the crap you buy at the store. They dont spend their money on advertising or distribution- you buy right from the company. As a result you get higher quality items for less than wal mart stuff. I LOVE their cleaning product line, because it is 100% safe and natural. I dont have to worry about aidric getting into it and getting sick. Kind of similar to seventh generation stuff- but works even better. anywho- im excited to see where that goes cause i usually dont do that kind of stuff!
